LSA 501 | CRITICAL MAP | CAZENOVIA, NY
This assignment introduced the fundamentals of digital mapping as a tool used to describe the landscape. It asked us to consider how to represent a vast amount of spatial data in a single map.
Our goal was to make an argument about the site, focusing our inquiry on understanding and visualizing site-wide patterns and connections while offering a critique of traditional mapping and its contributions to inequity.
I studied the presence of Harmful Algal Blooms in Cazenovia Lake and used my map to graphically represent factors that could be causing them.
